At the end of today’s Annual Meeting 2024, Dr. Markus Kamieth will become the new Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of BASF SE. At the Annual General Meeting at the Rosengarten Congress Center in Mannheim, the previous Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors, Dr. Martin Brudermüller, presented his successor with a cycling jersey printed with the BASF logo. Kamieth received his doctorate in organic chemistry from the University of Essen in 1998, began his career at the company a year later and has been a member of the Board of Executive Directors of BASF SE since 2017. Brudermüller worked for the company for 36 years. He was appointed to the Executive Board in 2006 and became Chairman of the Executive Board in 2018.
