As a member of the Egger Group Management, the highest management body of the wood-based materials manufacturer, Ulrich Bühler has played a key role in shaping the fortunes of the company. In this role, he was responsible for the Egger Group’s global activities in the areas of sales, marketing, product management and communication for 16 years. His retirement at the end of April 2024 marks the start of a new chapter for him. The Egger family and the entire Egger Group would like to express their sincere thanks and highest appreciation to Ulrich Bühler for his achievements.

A career full of milestones

Ulrich Bühler began his successful career at Egger in 2000 as Sales Manager at the Brilon (DE) plant. He was then responsible for sales and marketing agendas in the country management for Germany. He was finally appointed to Group Management in 2006 and held this responsible role until 2022. For 16 years, he steered the fortunes of the Egger Group and was responsible for sales and marketing on the Group Management Board. During this time, the Egger Group was able to achieve strong growth and further internationalization. Ulrich Bühler successfully accompanied his areas of responsibility on the path to digitalization and built up an extensive international sales network. Within the company, but also far beyond, Ulrich Bühler is held in high esteem for his vision, his commitment and his constant striving for win-win solutions for all partners. Ulrich Bühler had been entrusted with strategic projects since 2022 and acted as a mentor and advisor to his successor Michael Egger Jr.

A new chapter begins for Ulrich Bühler at the end of April 2024, when he will take his well-deserved retirement. The entire Egger Group wishes him all the best.
