Interzum Forum Italy  |

The second round begins

In addition to Cologne, Bogotá, Guangzhou and Jakarta, Interzum Forum Italy has been part of the global Interzum network since 2024. It is a two-day event in trade fair format organized by Koelnmesse Italia. The innovative format offers a new way of participating in the trade fair that aims to make the most of exhibitors’ and visitors’ time by promoting high-quality networking with short conferences and seminars on particularly relevant topics.

“The first Interzum Forum Italy closed with excellent results. Most of the participating companies were satisfied with the new format and confirmed their participation for 2026. We have reopened registration for the second edition in October 2024, and more than 70 percent of international companies are coming back: a clear signal that the format is also appreciated outside the borders of Italy,” explains Thomas Rosolia, Managing Director of Koelnmesse Italia. With its in-depth knowledge of the Italian and international markets, Koelnmesse’s Interzum Forum Italy offers companies a unique opportunity to present their products and services to a highly qualified audience, forge new business partnerships and expand their presence on the international markets.

The second edition of Interzum Forum Italy with the theme “Beyond the Furniture Towards the Future” will take place on June 4 and 5, 2026 at the Bergamo Exhibition Center. The event will offer a comprehensive overview of the world of design, with a particular focus on Functions & Components, Materials & Nature and Textiles & Machines. “The new edition of Interzum Forum Italy will have a special focus on new growth areas in the industry, such as boat and caravan interiors or solutions for the motorhome and automotive industries, all under the guidance of renowned industry experts. In exploring these innovative areas, Interzum Forum Italy will always focus on interior design and furniture. In this area, we are entering into partnerships with professional commissions and institutions to involve more and more professionals from the design sector in the fair,” comments Carlotta Benardelli, Project Manager of Interzum Forum Italy.

The event’s program picks up on the themes of the last edition, with presentations that not only cover interior design, but also market sectors that are increasingly related to suppliers. Industry experts and thought leaders will guide the audience through the discovery of today’s new requirements and applications, opening up new opportunities in previously unexplored markets. There will also be a focus on sustainability issues from a supply chain perspective and digitalization, which is increasingly impacting concept and design as well as production.

An integral part of the program of the second edition of Interzum Forum Italy is an extensive program of face-to-face meetings between exhibitors and industry professionals to facilitate the establishment of new partnerships and the expansion of new business opportunities.

Interzum Forum Italy has the honor of counting a number of universities and research institutions among its knowledge partners, including the CSIL Study Centre, European Furniture Industries Confederation (EFIC), the Digital Innovation Observatories of the School of Management at Politecnico di Milano and the POLI.Design consortium.

In addition to these organizations, Interzum Forum Italy is the focus of a long-term partnership agreement with Confartigianato Imprese Bergamo for the promotion and enhancement of local companies at the trade fair events organized by Koelnmesse at Fiera di Bergamo.

The new edition will once again feature the Interzum Forum Italy Award for exhibitors: a prize awarded by an international jury to companies that excel in the two award categories of Innovation and ESG & Sustainability.

These characteristics make Interzum Forum Italy an important event in the varied calendar of design, furniture and components trade fairs, combining the know-how of companies with the creativity of professionals and perfectly expressing the vitality of today’s market, even in the current situation of instability. Interested exhibitors can still register as early bookers until May 31, 2025.
