Visitor increase of 15 percent

With 307.418 visitors:inside the 61st edition of the “Salone del Mobile.Milano” ended Sunday. Compared with the previous year, this is an increase of 15 percent. More than half of the guests (65%) came from abroad. In total, buyers and industry representatives from 181 different countries were present. After Italy, China was the second largest visitor nation, followed by Germany, France, the USA, Spain and Brazil.

“The 61st edition of the ,Salone del Mobile.Milano’ was an international success and we are very pleased that expectations were exceeded,” said Maria Porro, President of the “Salone del Mobile.Milano”. “We learned some important lessons from this edition: that it is indeed possible to redesign a major event like the ‘Salone’ to propel it into the future, that sustainability is truly achievable when the entire system pulls together, and that new content can be developed and deployed to generate knowledge, growth and value.”

This year, the Milan Furniture Fair had started with some innovations. Among other things, the fair took place on one level and a new concept with simpler routing was developed for the “Euroluce”.

The date for the next “Salone del Mobile” is April 16-21, 2024.
