The new president is Miguel Nogueira

Miguel Nogueira has been elected as the new president at the general meeting of the International Committee of the Laminates Industry, ICDLI, the leading association of the European HPL industry. He succeeds Carlos Cruz in the role, who did not stand for re-election after 12 years at the helm of the association. Carlos Cruz was appointed honorary president.

During the European HPL Summit organized by the ICDLI in Bologna, Italy, the election of the new ICDLI President was also on the agenda. After 12 years at the helm of the ICDLI, Carlos Cruz, CEO Investwood, did not run again for the office of ICDLI President. Due to his many years of service to the ICDLI and to the interests of the European HPL industry, Carlos Cruz was appointed Honorary President and given a standing ovation by the members. Miguel Nogueira, Managing Director Surforma, was unanimously elected as his successor. Surforma, based near Porto, is part of the Portuguese Sonae Indústria Group. The president is elected for 3 years at a time.
