Merger with FGV sought

Hettich and FGV want to shape their future in the industry together in the future. The approval of the antitrust authorities is currently still pending. Only then do the two companies actually belong together.

Following the merger, Hettich and FGV intend to complement each other’s strengths in order to continuously develop existing business activities and offer their customers even better value-added solutions. “We – Hettich and FGV – are two family-owned companies with a long history in our common industry, the furniture fittings industry. We are looking forward to moving into the future together soon, learning from each other and becoming even more powerful together, with the interest and satisfaction of our customers as our absolute priority,” says Dr. Andreas Hettich, shareholder and Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Hettich Group. “Hettich is a world market leader that, like us, has a great deal of experience in the furniture fittings sector. FGV would like to combine its know-how and flexibility with the Hettich Group as soon as possible in order to develop successfully together and to enable a successful future for FGV’s management and employees”, explains Renato Formenti, Chairman of the Board of FGV.

Since both Hettich and FGV will remain independent as brands and companies within the overall Hettich Group, customers of both companies will retain their familiar contacts even after the proposed merger, so that customer service will continue as usual. The accomplished management teams of Hettich and FGV will ensure the necessary continuity and continuous joint development.

“In the future, we will work together closely networked in the background. Our customers will continue to receive the service from their established contacts, whom they know and appreciate in each case,” emphasize Silvana Riboldi, Head of Sales at FGV, and Uwe Kreidel, Managing Director at Hettich together.

Hettich and FGV share common values: two European family-owned companies with a long history in a common industry, acting down-to-earth and responsibly always with an eye on the next generations.
