The success story of Scheuch Ligno GmbH continues: The company, which was spun off from the parent company Scheuch in 2015, is now investing five million euros in a new production hall and in new, even more efficient machines at the Mehrnbach site.

“We have more than doubled our operating output since our reestablishment in 2015. To be able to grow further, we will now increase our production capacities. In addition, we are also strengthening our value chain in the interests of our customers and increasing the proportion of in-house production,” emphasizes Ing. Alois Burgstaller, Managing Director of Scheuch Ligno GmbH. “Our operating performance shows that we have had a very successful five years. We have not only met but also exceeded all important target figures. We were also able to win a great many new customers. In 2015, we started in Mehrnbach with 89 employees, and now 156 work for us. We offer secure jobs, hired new employees even during the Corona crisis and will continue to create new jobs in the near future.”

Construction of the new 2,066-square-meter production hall is scheduled to begin in April. If there are no delays due to Corona, completion is scheduled for October 2021. The new hall will primarily be used to expand cutting and control cabinet construction. For this purpose, the old laser will be replaced by a new high-tech speed laser with automatic feeding and high rack. “With this investment, we are automating and networking our cutting area. For us, this is another important step in the direction of Industry 4.0,” says Alois Burgstaller.
