The BNL – Group BNP Paribas, one of the leading European banking and financial services companies, supports the Italian Biesse Group in actively protecting the environment. The bank granted Biesse a loan of 50 million euros. The machine specialist intends to use this money to achieve a sustainable reduction in CO2 emissions, make greater use of renewable energy sources and protect the health of its employees even better.
The economic conditions of the loan are directly linked to the environmental and social sustainability objectives: they will improve if the Biesse Group achieves its objectives, which are constantly monitored and measured.
With this step, Biesse underlines its focus on the environment and aims at an increasingly energy-efficient production, mainly by using more energy from certified renewable sources and significantly reducing indirect CO2 emissions. The Group is also making an even greater commitment to all its employees by certifying its occupational health and safety management system in accordance with the international standard “Uni ISO 45001”.
