Bathroom furniture awarded four times by DGM
The Hansgrohe Group focuses on furniture quality and climate protection: The company from Schiltach in the Black Forest has joined the German Furniture Quality Association (DGM) and its climate pact for the furniture industry. Hansgrohe products have also now been awarded the Class A emissions label for box furniture and the geographical guarantee of origin “Furniture Made in Germany”.
“Bathroom furniture of the Hansgrohe brand has been proven to meet the strict quality and testing regulations RAL-GZ 430 and is therefore awarded by us with the RAL quality mark ‘Golden M’,” says DGM Managing Director Jochen Winning and further emphasizes, “The sense of responsibility and motivation to meet the requirements for four certifications in immediate succession underscores the high value Hansgrohe places on the topics of quality assurance, health and climate protection, and regional value creation.”
Solutions from Hansgrohe can be found in countless households. In addition to showers, shower systems, bathroom and kitchen faucets and kitchen sinks, the company’s premium brand portfolio has also included bathroom furniture since this year. The Hansgrohe Group was founded in 1901 and generated record sales of over 1.5 billion euros in 2022. The number of employees worldwide also rose to a record high of 5,639 last year.
In addition to a high level of commitment to its employees, the company also attaches great importance to the quality of its products and their sustainable production and marketing. Responsible use of resources and the avoidance of harmful environmental impacts are reflected, for example, in innovative and at the same time sustainable solutions for saving water in the home. Last but not least, the certifications that have now been awarded to the Hansgrohe brand bathroom furniture also demonstrate its sense of responsibility.
DGM Managing Director Jochen Winning explains, “The ‘Golden M’ is the strictest and most comprehensive proof of furniture quality in Europe. The RAL quality mark helps end consumers to recognize furniture that is demonstrably safe, durable, healthy and environmentally compatible.” The requirements for the “Furniture Made in Germany” guarantee of origin are tested and awarded by the DGM on behalf of the German Furniture Industry Association. The mark gives end consumers all over the world the assurance that they are buying products made in Germany to a high standard of quality. The construction, assembly and quality testing of the furniture take place in Germany. In addition, the manufacturing process relevant to quality must take place predominantly in Germany. For the emission label, certified manufacturers must meet strict requirements in the area of pollutant emissions and residential health. As a participant in the Climate Pact for the Furniture Industry, which the DGM launched in 2016 to jointly support the United Nations’ (UN) 1.5 degree target, the Hansgrohe Group is also committed to balancing its CO2 emissions with the aim of reducing them as much as possible in the interests of the environment and the climate. “It doesn’t get much more quality-conscious and climate-friendly at the same time,” concludes Winning in praise.
