4-week “Biesse Inside” has started

It all started on October 11: in Pesaro, the Biesse Group opened its doors to customers and interested parties for another “Biesse Inside”. But not only for 3 or 4 days, as it was usual in the last years. But rather a whole four weeks until November 5. “We just have to act as the situation allows,” explains Raphaël Prati, Chief Marketing & Communications Officer of Biesse Group. Federico Broccoli, Chief Commercial and Subsidiaries Officer, adds, “In the past, we were happy to report that many hundreds of visitors were at our plant within a short period of time. Today, we have to ‘equalize’ the visitor groups, and that’s why we’re stretching our fall show to a total of four weeks.” But of course, every change also offers opportunities. “It all has its advantages,” says Broccoli. “We’re now able to cater to each individual visitor and their needs much more intensively than we used to then.” And there is a clear trend: international customers are making very strong use of the digital offers that are increasingly available during “Biesse Inside”, while there is a noticeable interest from Northern European visitors to also experience machine technologies “live” again.

Basically, the Biesse Group is very satisfied on the road. “We will be able to follow up on the record figures we had in 2018 and 2019 with the 2021 financial year,” Broccoli reported at a digital press conference. “This is already shown by the course of the first half of the year: we are recording significantly more orders than in the same period of 2019, a double-digit increase. And almost twice as many incoming orders as in the first half of 2020. These are really very good figures.”

As part of “Biesse Inside” 2021, new machines and solutions for the wood, glass and stone sectors will be on display through November. Broccoli reveals, “we haven’t had any downtime in our R&D department, of course. Sometimes it feels like that of renowned telephone providers: We present the latest generation and ingenious new features.”
