Frederik Meyer takes over from Luigi De Vito

Frederik Meyer is the new President of Eumabois, the European Association of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers. Meyer is married, has two children and studied wood technology at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences. His career in the woodworking industry began 27 years ago with an apprenticeship as a carpenter in East Westphalia in Germany. He has been with the Homag Group for the past eighteen years, currently in the position of Managing Director of the CNC Machining division.

Meyer has been Vice President of Eumabois since September 2022 and took over from Luigi De Vito on January 16, who left the position to pursue new professional challenges. The role of Vice President of the association was transferred to Enrico Aureli, President of the Italian association Acimall and Vice President of the Scm Group.

“Being president of an organization like Eumabois is a great honor, but also a challenge that I will do everything I can to overcome, following the great work of Luigi De Vito – whom I thank on behalf of the entire industry – and the countless challenges we face in a time of great change,” Meyer commented after his appointment. “Today more than ever, the European industry must keep an eye on the global scenario and support and disseminate the contents of innovation, safety and performance of technologies that are an essential point of reference throughout the world.
