After a good two years of construction, the biggest milestone has been reached: The Egger Group starts production at the wood-based materials plant in Lexington, North Carolina, USA. It is now the 20th plant of the globally active family business and the first Egger plant in North America. The investment volume amounts to approximately 440 million euros. The new location will create 400 new jobs. With an annual capacity of up to 650,000 cubic meters of particleboard in the Lexington, NC, plant, Egger is responding to the growing demand for wood-based materials in the North American market.
