Greenpanel extends order for MDF plant
The Indian MDF pioneer Greenpanel Industries Ltd. has ordered from Dieffenbacher
ordered a Maier chipper line for its new MDF plant in Routhusuramala, Andhra Pradesh. The MDF line, which is scheduled to go into operation in the summer of 2024, is already the third that Greenpanel has commissioned from Dieffenbacher.
The highlight of the order extension is a Maier drum chipper with a rotor diameter of 1600 mm. The order also includes the chipper pre-conveyor, consisting of a chain bed conveyor with multiple crane infeed, a cleaning section, and a chipper pre-conveyor with metal detection coil. With the new chipper line, Greenpanel will produce up to 60 metric tons (atro) per hour of high-quality chips from eucalyptus wood for MDF production.
“Within the overall Dieffenbacher plant portfolio, Maier machines and plants cover the process steps of wood shredding and material preparation,” explains Alexander Hoffmann, Managing Director of Dieffenbacher subsidiary B. Maier Zerkleinerungstechnik. “One of our core competencies is the design, construction and supply of complete chipper lines with drum chippers up to a rotor diameter of 2400 mm.”
“It’s great to be a complete one-stop shop for our new facility at Dieffenbacher,” said Shobhan Mittal, managing director and CEO of Greenpanel. “As part of our new overall facility, the Maier woodyard will help us meet the growing demand for high-quality MDF in India.”
“The new Maier chipper line for Greenpanel is the second such line we have supplied to India in just two years,” Hoffmann concluded. “The first is currently being installed at Merino Industries Ltd.’s new particleboard plant in Halol, Gujarat.”
