The “International Woodworking Fair” has extended the deadline for the 2020 “Challengers Award”, to April 24.

“We have received calls from exhibitors requesting a deadline extension to submit ,Challengers Award’ entries,” says JP Roberts, IWF Director of Sales. “To accommodate ,IWF‘ exhibitors the judging panel has agreed to a compressed evaluation time, so that the deadline can now be extended from April 1st to April 24th.”

The “IWF Challengers Distinguished Achievement Awards” Competition for Technology and Innovation has become known throughout the world for recognizing outstanding companies who have distinguished themselves by developing innovative technology in products, services, or manufacturing techniques that will advance the industry. Time-saving, money-saving, and environmentally friendly products are among the traits of many successful “Challengers Award” entries.

A panel of 10 distinguished judges, all industry professionals representing a broad cross-section of the wood manufacturing sectors, review and analyze dozens of entries, which are narrowed down in a two-step process, resulting in a list of semi-finalists, which then yields 21 finalists.

These finalists will perform live demonstrations before the judges on the day before IWF 2020 opens. The judges then make their decisions, and winners receive their award the first morning of the show. The winners will remain on display in The Challengers Award Gallery for the duration of the show.

Entering the competition is free to “IWF” 2020 exhibitors. Winning entries will be named on the morning of Tuesday, August 25.
