Cooperation agreed with Essetre

Michael Weinig (MWAG) and Essetre s.r.l. have entered into a strategic cooperation in the field of CNC joinery machines. For Weinig, this strategic partnership is an important addition to the range of products for structural timber engineering and will enable MWAG to serve its future customers even better and more comprehensively. Essetre uses MWAG’s global sales and service network to further penetrate the relevant markets. Both partners are pooling their extensive expertise in woodworking to further develop their portfolios and expand their leading positions in their respective markets.

The collaboration was announced last week during “Ligna” 2023 in Hannover, Germany, with further details to be announced in the coming weeks. With this strategic step, MWAG is decisively expanding its portfolio and closing a previously existing gap. A few weeks ago, the Group had already strengthened its position in the field of automation and project expertise by acquiring the plant specialist H.I.T. (see HERE).

Essetre specializes in CNC joinery systems for furniture and wood construction. Founded in 1979 by Giovanni Sella, the family business is based in Thiene, province of Vicenza in Italy. Since then, Essetre has expanded its market to more than 30 countries and has designed and manufactured more than 1200 exclusive and branded CNC woodworking machines, such as 5-axis machining, wood construction, panels and cladding. Essetre is a recognized specialist both for simple woodworking centers and, in particular, for innovative solutions characterized by the greatest possible efficiency and perfection.
