Creating a spirit of optimism for Europe and Germany

More and more associations are focusing on the Bundestag elections on Sunday and addressing the new government. This includes the VDMA, based in Hanover. According to a recent publication: “After the parliamentary elections, Germany faces important decisions. VDMA President Bertram Kawlath is calling for a swift formation of a government with a clear economic policy course in order to secure the competitiveness of Germany and Europe as business locations.

“We congratulate Friedrich Merz and the CDU/CSU on their election victory. The new federal government must now be formed quickly and become capable of taking action. Germany and Europe need stability and reliability. The government must create a spirit of optimism for Europe and Germany!”

“The mechanical and plant engineering industry needs attractive framework conditions. Only with innovation, investment and lower corporate taxes will we return to economic strength in Germany and Europe. Germany must finally take on a shaping role in Europe again in order to overcome the global challenges together.”

“The VDMA expects the new government to take decisive measures for a strong economy, openness to technology and close European cooperation. Germany needs a location upgrade.”
