Celebrates 25 years in the UK
A quarter of a century after it was founded, Hubtex UK has grown from humble beginnings in a garage to become a major player in the UK market. Hubtex UK’s history is one of continuous growth, innovation and a firm commitment to quality and safety.
The roots of Hubtex UK go back to the early 1980s, even before Malcom Manser and Hubtex GmbH had the idea of setting up an independent agency for Hubtex in the UK. Hubtex UK began operations in 1999 – initially in a small garage that served as a sales office. The first branch was opened in 2002, followed by an office and workshop in 2004. Since then, Hubtex UK has undergone a remarkable transformation. The company, which started out as a one-man operation, now employs 16 people. In 2008, Hubtex UK moved to its current premises in Milton Keynes. Another milestone was the expansion of the service department, where a team of 10 technicians now ensure the comprehensive maintenance and servicing of the vehicles.
The first customers started using Hubtex sideloaders as early as 1986. This model symbolizes the durability and reliability of Hubtex products. In 2004, Hubtex UK exhibited for the first time at the IMHX, an important trade fair in Birmingham. This market positioning enabled the company to expand its product range to include multidirectional sideloaders and strengthen its market presence in order picking vehicles for kitchen panels, wood-based materials, laminate, decorative panels, aluminum and plastic profiles. Other important milestones were the launch of the “MaxX” and “FluX” model series in 2016 and the “PhoeniX” series in 2018.
The last 25 years have been characterized by sustained growth and the development of long-term customer relationships with Eurocell, Antalis, Hydro, Metsec and others. While leasing contracts in the industry are limited to five years, Hubtex UK has signed numerous long-term contracts with a term of ten years, and the agreements have continued since the opening of the UK branch. These partnerships are testament to the high quality of the company’s products and services and the trust its customers place in it. “Our strength lies in the reliability and durability of our products and the vehicle safety we offer our customers. These qualities have made us a trusted partner for many companies,” says Paul McNally, Managing Director of Hubtex UK.
Despite the challenges posed by global events and geopolitical tensions, Hubtex UK is optimistic about the future. The company plans to further expand its already strong position in the construction, wood, steel and plastics industries and to tap into new market segments such as the automotive, aviation and air freight industries.
The vision for the coming years includes further growth in machines, customers, employees and turnover. “With strong customer and supplier relationships and a team of dedicated and talented employees, Hubtex UK sees many opportunities to successfully meet the challenges of the future,” concludes McNally.
