Ruben Desmet succeeds Max von Tippelskirch

The EPLF, the Association of European Producers of Laminate Flooring, is pleased to announce a new era with the election of Ruben Desmet (Unilin) as President of the Association and new Board Member Fabian Kölliker (Swiss Krono Group). The change follows the resignation of Max von Tippelskirch (Swiss Krono Group) as President of the association.

Newly elected President Ruben Desmet explains: “I have had the privilege of serving as Chairman of the Markets and Image Working Group and Vice President of the EPLF since 2019. I am honored to have the trust of our members who elected me to lead the association during this time of change for our industry. I look forward to continuing the great work of outgoing President Max von Tippelskirch, building on our shared commitment to sustainability and enhancing the reputation of our industry. Together we want to strengthen the laminate flooring category and demonstrate the role it can play in supporting the EU’s renovation wave and affordable housing initiative in particular and the region’s economy in general.”

“This is a challenging but exciting time for our industry and I am delighted that in my new role as a board member I can help pave this new path for the EPLF. In my professional career, I have always walked the fine line between tradition and innovation – a delicate balance that I hope to maintain in this role. I can’t wait to put my experience in digital transformation and data-driven marketing at the service of EPLF members and the laminate industry as a whole,” says new EPLF Board member Fabian Kölliker.

The Executive Board is elected by the EPLF General Assembly, the highest decision-making body of the association, which is made up of all full members, for a term of office of two years. The chairmen and chairwomen of the working groups are elected by their respective working groups.
