Ralf W. Dieter succeeds Pekka Paasivaara
At the end of September, Pekka Paasivaara, CEO of Homag Group AG since June 15, 2015, announced that he would no longer be available for a contract extension. A successor has now been found: Ralf W. Dieter will take over from Paasivaara. He was appointed chairman of the management board by the supervisory board of Homag Group AG at its meeting today with effect from January 1, 2021. He will hold the office in addition to his function as CEO of Dürr AG, of which the Homag Group is a subsidiary.
Ralf W. Dieter joined the Dürr Group in 2003 as CEO of Carl Schenck AG. He has been a member of Dürr AG's Board of Management since the beginning of 2005 and its Chairman since January 1, 2006. Important milestones in his tenure to date have been the realignment of the Group in 2006 and 2007 and the strengthening of the balance sheet, the expansion in emerging markets, the portfolio expansion through the acquisition of the Homag Group in 2014, and the ongoing "digital@Dürr" digitization strategy.
Dieter was also previously chairman of the supervisory board of Homag Group AG. He will resign from this office and his membership of the supervisory board as of December 31, 2020. At today's meeting, Gerhard Federer was elected as the new chairman of the supervisory board of Homag Group AG from January 1, 2021.
Ralf W. Dieter: "Due to my many years as chairman of the supervisory board of the Homag Group, I know the company very well. I am very much looking forward to now taking over operational responsibility for the Homag Group."
Pekka
Paasivaara will leave the company by mutual agreement on December 31, 2020.
Ralf W. Dieter thanked him, "Pekka Paasivaara has played a major role in
the further development of Homag. He has been particularly successful in
driving forward the expansion of international business." From January 1,
2021, the management board of Homag Group AG will consist of Ralf W. Dieter and
CFO Rainer Gausepohl.
