Founding a new unit for light, acoustics and smart living
It has been around 100 days since Häfele announced the strategic takeover of Stuttgart-based LED lighting and acoustics specialist Nimbus. The integration of Nimbus into the globally active Häfele Group is now progressing rapidly with personnel and organisational changes. From the first of September 2019, the Stuttgart-based company, under the management of Jörg Schmid, the former Managing Director of the Häfele Industrial Division, will become the new worldwide competence centre, a unit for the high-potential future fields of light, acoustics and smart within the Häfele Group. The previous owner of the Nimbus Group, Dietrich Brennenstuhl, becomes Managing Director Design & Innovation. He is thus responsible for the Nimbus brand, the design language, innovation and communication.
In the new Häfele unit, the above-mentioned product ranges will in future be looked after with overall responsibility, from development through product management to sales to the Häfele branches, the German market and Nimbus's previous export markets.
In future, Häfele will provide its partners around the world with a comprehensive response to all the product ranges bundled at Nimbus, from light in furniture and room lighting with sophisticated design to clever acoustic solutions and innovative holistic concepts for smart networking.
Häfele customers also benefit from 360° competence in the contract sector and worldwide supply chain security in a highly respected distribution and logistics network. Häfele hopes that all this will provide additional impetus for the development of products and systems for the markets of the future.
