Won't happen again until 2022
Due to the still fragile corona situation, stricter hygiene and distance regulations for trade fairs in Baden-Württemberg and continuing restrictions in international travel, "Paintexpo" 2020 is now cancelled after all The next world's leading trade fair for industrial painting technology will take place in 2022 as scheduled.
"Together with exhibitors and partners, we had hoped to organize "Paintexpo" 2020 in October with appropriate health and safety measures for all participants. In the meantime, however, the omens have changed, partly due to new regulations for holding trade fairs in Baden-Württemberg, so that we have to cancel the event after all," reports Jürgen Haußmann, Managing Director of the organiser Fairfair GmbH. This decision has been taken on the basis of a survey of all exhibitors at "Paintexpo" 2020, in which a large proportion also spoke out against a further postponement.
Many companies are currently preoccupied with the economic effects of the Corona pandemic, so participation in the fair is not at the top of their priority list. In addition, the protection of health and the containment of infections continue to play a central role. Contacts and travel activities are therefore limited to necessary interactions. This also includes the fact that companies sometimes prohibit trade fair visits and international travel continues to be subject to strict limits. Another important aspect in deciding against hosting "Paintexpo" 2020 was the requirements of the planned "Corona Regulation Trade Fairs" of the Baden-Württemberg state government.
"We will now devote all our energy to preparing the next regular 'Paintexpo' in order to offer the industry the best conditions for a successful participation in the fair. The next world's leading trade fair for industrial painting technology will take place from 26 to 29 April 2022 at the Karlsruhe Exhibition Centre.
