Kaschierung

The lamination process for wood-based materials is a process in which one or more layers of materials are applied to the surface of wood or wood-based materials. The aim of this process is to improve the properties of the wood-based material, such as its appearance, resistance to moisture, scratches and other mechanical influences, as well as its general durability. Typical laminating materials are veneers, decorative papers and plastic films. The laminating process can take the form of hot pressing, gluing or lamination.
