According to Azul Ogaz\u00f3n, director of “MEM-TMI”, “the government of the State of Jalisco has supported the economic activities at Expo Guadalajara, on condition that events like ours implement a series of strict measures to protect the health and well-being of all participants. Over the past year, the Organizing Committee of ,MEM-TMI’ and Expo Guadalajara have been working together on health measures and protocols that meet the highest international standards, as well as new generation technologies that will allow us to protect the health of our visitors and exhibitors. Hannover Fairs M\u00e9xico, Afamjal and Expo Guadalajara would like to take this opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to contribute to the economic reactivation of the sector and the creation of business opportunities for the wood and furniture industry from August 18 to 21.” <\/p>\n
Afamjal President Teresa Calder\u00f3n Dur\u00e1n pointed out that the furniture sector is of great importance to the country in general and to Jalisco in particular, as it employs around 25,000 people and contributes significantly to the local economy. “Therefore, it is necessary to complement the furniture production chain with world-class machinery and production equipment, without forgetting the forestry sector, which also makes a significant contribution to the Mexican economy.” <\/p>\n
