Last week Hymmen informed on the Internet that the company has filed a patent lawsuit against Barber\u00e1n. Now that the Spanish have also been officially informed of the case, they are taking a stand:<\/p>\n
“On 18 June, we were astonished to learn from the professional and social media that Hymmen had filed an infringement suit against us regarding their patents ‘EP 3 109 056’ and ‘EP 2 313 281’,” it says from Castelldefels, a town on the outskirts of Barcelona. “All customers who know Barber\u00e1n know of our integrity – and that our goal has always been, and still is, to provide the market with innovation and the best possible industrial solutions. As early as 2005, Barber\u00e1n began research into single-pass digital printing technology. This ultimately led to the development of our first industrial single-pass digital printer, the BIJ300, which was exhibited at Ligna 2007. Long before Hymmen showed its first machine.<\/p>\n
However, Ligna 2007 was just the beginning for Barber\u00e1n and we have never stopped investing a large part of our research and development resources in developing new and improved solutions for our customers.<\/p>\n
Barber\u00e1n firmly believes in fair competition that benefits our customers and also us as a technology manufacturer and supplier. This is why we are convinced that our company has not infringed any patents.
