Press plates

Press plates are used to press wood-based materials under pressure and at high temperatures. The wood-based materials are mixed with an adhesive and placed between two press plates. The press plates are then pressed together in a hydraulic or mechanical press, which hardens the adhesive and bonds the wood-based materials together.

The surface of a press plate can be smooth or textured, depending on the desired surface texture on the end product. Press plates are typically made of a robust and heat-resistant material such as steel or aluminum. They are used for structures that are produced in large series.
