The long-established company remains in private hands
Michael Schüller, who has been Managing Director of ritterwerk since 2005, takes over the company together with his two sons after the partner Werner Braun retires due to age. The traditional company, which was founded more than 115 years ago and started out with the production of knife cleaning machines, is now a staple among manufacturers of small household appliances – due to its highly estimated “made in Germany” products.
Schüller comments on this step with optimism: “We hope that the new ownership structure will enable us to further consolidate ritterwerk’s position as an expert in small kitchen appliances. In doing so, we are relying on our entire workforce and are pleased that they support our takeover 100 %.”
The younger of the two sons, Leonard Lorin, will actively support the export sales department from the 1st of January 2022. Until then, he will be gaining sales experience outside ritterwerk. The older one, Moritz Sebastian, who played a decisive role in the preceding management buyout, will continue to support ritterwerk in financial as well as M&A matters. He will soon give up his current position as a management consultant at KPMG and founded a start-up in the field of household appliances that will be based in Gröbenzell.
