Seven more companies joined since May

In April, the Brussels-based Europur Association reported that six companies had joined the association in 2022. Since then, seven more companies have become Europur members, bringing the total to 13 new members and more than 100 members this year alone. Together, the members operate more than 70% of the PU foam plants in Europe and produce about 1.1 million tons of PU foam – still about 80% of the total production in the region.

Europur is the European Association of Flexible PU Foam Block Manufacturers based in Brussels and has represented the industry for more than five decades. It provides a platform to discuss the most important issues related to foam production and use and to act accordingly.

One of the newest members is H&S Anlagentechnik from Sulingen, Germany. “We absolutely share the values of Europur. Above all, the area of sustainability is particularly close to our hearts and we are therefore very pleased to be able to make an even greater difference in the future as a new member of Europur,” says Mila Skokova, Sales & Product Manager at H&S Anlagentechnik.

Like Europur, H&S Anlagentechnik is committed to promoting the unique benefits of flexible polyurethane foam in its many applications. For example, in cooperation with the Dutch recycling company RetourMatras, H&S Anlagentechnik has implemented the post-consumer mattress recycling project, which is about to be put into operation. But the cooperation with the mattress recycling program “Renuva” at Orion Chemicals Orgaform is also one of the world’s first projects in this field, which also fits perfectly with the theme of sustainability. “Such projects move the entire recycling industry forward, as they are not only environmentally friendly, but also bring economic benefits. Here, we are specifically concerned with the more active implementation of projects that are not only focused on the area of research. Only in this way can we become even more attractive in the area of sustainability and take care of our ecological balance by actively fighting against the waste streams,” says Skokova.

H&S Anlagentechnik GmbH develops plant and process technologies for the efficient, flexible, production-safe and environmentally compatible storage, metering, mixing and formulation of polyurethanes, as well as for the chemical recycling of PU and PET waste. For 30 years, the plant engineering company has combined chemical expertise with technical production and developed individual solutions for customers from various industries. H&S Anlagentechnik GmbH stands for excellently trained engineers and chemists, international experience and a worldwide network of sales partners.
