With effect from July 1, 2024, the Eppingen-based machine and plant manufacturer DIEFFENBACHER is repositioning its Wood business unit in Latin America. With a team that has grown to six employees, the company is relocating its branch in Brazil from Curitiba to Itajaí, around 200 km to the south. The new Managing Director of DIEFFENBACHER do Brasil will be Diego Coelho de Oliveira, who was previously Area Sales Director for the region and will continue to hold this position.

“We decided to strengthen our presence in Latin America last year,” reports Ralf Schmidt, Head of Global Lifetime Service Wood & Recycling at DIEFFENBACHER. “By relocating our office to Itajaí, we are speeding up our customer service, strengthening our partnership with our customers in Latin America and thus meeting their requirements even better,” he adds.

“We now have six people directly on site in Latin America. This gives us completely new opportunities to intensively support the local wood-based materials market with its challenges,” explains Diego Coelho de Oliveira. “Specifically, we have strengthened our team with Thiago Furbino Soares as Service Manager and Ivan Dos Santos Oliveira and Evandro Rodrigo Satyrio da Rocha as Service Technicians. All three already have experience in service in the wood-based materials industry or related industries. Together with our service technician Bruno de Oliveira, our technologist Peter Rath and myself, they form the new powerful DIEFFENBACHER team for Latin America,” continues Coelho de Oliveira.

The service portfolio of DIEFFENBACHER do Brasil ranges from preventive services, such as system inspections and optimizations by the DIEFFENBACHER Performance Team, individual spare and wear parts packages, bearing analyses and training as well as the digital platform EVORIS, to reactive services such as classic on-site customer service, remote support via MyDIEFFENBACHER and the online spare parts catalog MyDIEFFENBACHER Parts.

The new DIEFFENBACHER Latin America team also covers the areas of new system and individual machine sales as well as modernizations. It continues to receive support from INSERCO Industrie Service GmbH from Viersen, DIEFFENBACHER’s long-standing sales partner for Latin America.
