Registrations meet expectations
“Once again, ‘Xylexpo’ is a reflection of the current market”, Dario Corbetta, director of the biennial international technology fair “Xylexpo” for the furniture and wood industry, is sure. The next edition is scheduled from October 12 to 15 at the “FieraMilano-Rho” exhibition center in Milan.
“It will be a good exhibition edition,” Corbetta continues. “A great comeback in the exhibition calendar after four years, due to the global pandemic. We believe the event will provide a comprehensive showcase of the industry’s best technologies.”
Based on near-daily feedback from exhibitors, indications are that the next edition could be a true “reboot,” buoyed by a strong enthusiasm and seemingly unaffected by the problems still facing the world – or so the show says. Six months before the official opening, that’s why halls 22 and 24, earmarked for the 2022 edition, are almost sold out.
So far, more than 220 exhibitors have registered for “Xylexpo”, occupying a total exhibition area of almost 34,000 square meters.
The show will thus be a comprehensive showcase where industry users can “experience” technology along the entire value chain: from primary processing to solid wood processing, from machines for wood-based materials to finishing, from tools to equipment of all kinds.
For the first time, “Xylexpo” will be held simultaneously with the 33rd “Bi-Mu”, a trade fair for machine tools, robotics and automation that also takes place every two years. This new symbiosis is intended to lead to a “Week of Mechanical Engineering” where exhibitors and visitors can meet to find expertise, solutions and ideas with a clear goal: to produce ever more sustainably and efficiently.
