Promotes Woodworking and Furniture Industry in Mexico

Azul Ogazón, Director of the “MEM Industrial” announced on January 9th at a meeting with industry leaders and international press correspondents that this year’s edition of the leading woodworking and furniture fair in Mexico will be a milestone, with the presence of 200 leading brands and an unprecedented agenda focused on sustainability, closer links between designers and industry and innovation in surfaces.

The “MEM Industrial” 2020 will take place from 22 to 24 January at Centro Citibanamex in Mexico City. The venue will remain open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and admission is free. A strong supporting programme has been set up for the areas of sustainability, design and surface innovations. In the field of design, for example, the “Makeathon Makers for Good”, in which young designers exhibit a furniture prototype at the fair. The winner of this competition can look forward to a trip to Hettich headquarters in Kirchlengern.

“MEM Industrial” is organized by Hannover Fairs México, a subsidiary of Deutsche Messe Germany. The event is supported by the Mexican Association of Suppliers to the Woodworking and Furniture Industry (AMPIMM), the European Association of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers (Eumabois) and the German Engineering Federation (VDMA).
