During the opening ceremony, Christian Pfeiffer said: “MEM Industrial is the leading platform in Latin America for woodworking technology, including preliminary work and accessories for the furniture industry”, while Bernd Rohde took the opportunity to announce the recent partnership between “MEM Industrial” and “Tecnomueble”, linked to the AFAMJAL association: “This new partnership with AFAMJAL and the other partnerships of ‘MEM Industrial’ with leading international organisations such as the European Association of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers (Eumabois), its German counterpart VDMA, AMPIMM, CONAFOR, the civil society organisation Reforestamos and CANAINMA, have consolidated ‘MEM Industrial’ as the leading trade fair for the supply of machinery, equipment, materials and inputs for the woodworking and furniture industry in Mexico.”

According to AMPIMM (Association of Subcontracting Industries) Vice President Carlos Cook, the fair is “the most important showcase for suppliers of inputs, materials and services for furniture manufacturing. It is undoubtedly the most important trade show in Mexico for the sector, and I am convinced that it will soon become one of the leaders in North America.

The President of AFAMJAL, Abelardo Arreola, added that “MEM Industrial’s partnership with TecnoMueble will be of great benefit to the industry, as it will bring together the two largest exhibitions of furniture machinery and accessories in the country”.

Some 130 exhibitors will be taking part in the fair on an exhibition area of over 14,000 square meters. The Centro Citibanamex, where the event will take place from 22 to 24 January, is expecting 7,000 visitors, covering the entire spectrum from forestry experts and CNC machine manufacturers to industrial designers and carpenters.

The “Tecnomueble” in Guadalajara is the largest exhibition of machines, raw materials and accessories for the Mexican furniture and wood industry. Here products such as wood and veneers, tools, machines, textiles, adhesives, hardware, paints and coatings, abrasives, accessories and much more are exhibited.
