Siematic  |

Now completely in Chinese hands

In 2017, the Chinese Nison Group had acquired a majority stake in Siematic, and now the rest will follow. Ulrich W. Siekmann and his sister Kathrin André have completely sold their shares. This was announced by the company from Löhne in a press release.

At the same time, the tradition as a family business started in 1929 under the name Siekmann ends, one year after the 90th anniversary. On July 31st Ulrich W. Siekmann (52) will also leave the company as managing partner and will continue to work for Siematic in an advisory capacity. Hanjo Runde will take over as Chairman of the Management Board. As Managing Director, he is currently responsible for Marketing and Sales as well as Supply Chain Management. Since Hanjo Runde (formerly Hilti Manager of Marketing and Sales) joined the company last fall, he and Ulrich W. Siekmann have already worked very closely together, for example in the current strategy process. Oliver Henle will continue to be responsible for the commercial departments as a member of the management board.

Since the beginning of the alliance with the Nison Group, Siematic has “developed very robustly globally”, the company continues. In particular, the position in the Asian markets has been further expanded. The development in Germany and Europe will not be commented on in detail. The company currently employs around 420 people worldwide.
