New faces at the top of the association
Elections have been held at the Italian trade association Acimall: Enrico Aureli, vice president of Scm Group from Rimini, is the new president for the term 2023 to 2026, succeeding his colleague Luigi De Vito, general director of Scm Group. Just like De Vito, Marianna Daschini, managing director of Greda from Mariano Comense, is also leaving Acimall management, having served De Vito as vice president from 2020 to 2023. Daschini will be replaced by Raphaël Prati, Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at Biesse in Pesaro.
The members of the Association of Italian Manufacturers of Wood and Furniture Technology met for the election at the headquarters in Assago (Milan) to ultimately unanimously approve the proposal presented by the Board.
Enrico Aureli is 49 years old, married and father of two children. He graduated as Operations Manager from Milan Polytechnic and started his professional career at Aetna Group, where he also served as Managing Director since 2011. Since 2008, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of Scm Group, continuously deepening his knowledge in wood processing technology, the historical mainstay of the family business. In addition, Aureli is a board member at Ucima, the Italian association of packaging machinery manufacturers, where he held the role of president from 2016 to 2020.
After thanking the assembly for their confidence, Aureli congratulated Luigi De Vito and the entire Board for the successful management of Acimall in recent times.
“I am proud to represent an industry that is traditionally so deeply rooted in Italy and still has much to achieve at the national and international level,” said Aureli, thanking the entrepreneurs present. “I would also like to thank the new Vice President Raphaël Prati for accepting my invitation to join me in this new challenge: Acimall’s entire Board of Directors will continue to work in the direction that has been taken in recent years. To provide our member companies with services and opportunities to act as a system – because that should be the task of any modern industry association. Such commitment requires the implementation of projects with a wide scope and implies proximity to all those who share Acimall’s values.”
