New building at headquarters in Thansau

Schattdecor started the planned new building at the headquarters of the globally active decor printer in Thansau in March 2021. In two years of planned construction, a four-storey office building is to be built on 1,800 square metres, connected to the current existing building, by the second quarter of 2023.

Roland Auer, CEO of Schattdecor AG: “We are consciously investing in growth. We believe in the heart of the group, the Thansau headquarters. Through the expansion, we are creating space for the future and progress.”

Where capacity limits are reached, the newly created space will allow for an equalisation and spatially sensible restructuring. In addition, space is also planned for Retis Holding and the board of Schattdecor AG. Auer: “As a family-owned company, we benefit from a strong owner family, which will also find its physical home at the headquarters in the future. A strong and positive sign for our entire team.”

True to its corporate culture, the local medium-sized company attaches great importance to building as much as possible in harmony with people and nature and, accordingly, with the least possible impact.

Claus Neuffer, Head of Engineering: “We decided to build where our project would have the least impact on local residents and nature. In addition, together with an architect’s office, we have designed a concept to create natural compensation areas, for example in the form of extensive roof greening. The existing trees will also be retained and merely relocated. Later, they will become part of a large fruit and flower meadow.”
