Market exploration in India

Five members of the Furniture Club (Germany) were on the road in India. In line with the vision of positioning itself with international customers as a “one-stop network for interior solutions with sustainable quality made in Germany”. And thanks to Hettich’s support, numerous appointments with top decision-makers from the Indian contract market were made. “I was particularly interested in the information on developments in the hotel sector. As in Europe, individuality plays an important role in India too. During these three days, we were able to find out in several conversations that we are willing to cooperate”, says Johannes Hegger, owner of GH Hotel Interior Group and member of the board of Furniture Club. In many cases, concrete hotel and apartment projects and specific enquiries have already been discussed. The companies involved are now faced with the question of what structure they want to use to establish themselves in India. Eric Seliger, Sales Manager of Halbmond Teppichwerke: “To overcome the high barriers to entry, the right partners are needed. The market environment is favourable and the interest in German quality products is high”. The trip also showed impressively what great potential can be exploited in a well-functioning network.
