Has signed a distribution agreement with Randek

The Italian group SCM and the Swedish company Randek AB have signed a strategic agreement for the comprehensive supply of complete integrated solutions for wood construction.

This new partnership further expands and strengthens the range of technological solutions already offered by both companies worldwide: the SCM company, with its continuous innovation activity, is synonymous with a range of state-of-the-art machining centers with numerical control for the machining of a wide variety of structural elements demanded by today’s market. Randek AB is known worldwide for its high-performance innovative technologies in the prefabricated house sector. The partnership will enable both companies to offer each other’s products, providing complete integrated solutions.

“Our partnership with Randek AB allows us to expand our range of products and services for timber construction in a comprehensive and strategic way. This guarantees our customers access to a wide range of specific technological solutions, in this case for the processing of prefabricated walls, with stronger production efficiency and higher return on investment,” confirms Tommaso Martini, SCM Manager for Wood Construction.

“As part of an agreement with a world-leading group such as SCM, which has in-depth industrial expertise and a close-knit international sales network, we can further strengthen our presence in the relevant markets and offer customers an even more direct and comprehensive service,” says Ola Lindh, Managing Director of Randek AB.

A first joint sales success has already been achieved: Randek AB and SCM will develop and supply the machine equipment for one of the most modern timber house factories. This involves the production of modules with steel and wooden frames. The unnamed customer had Bosch Engineering and Production Services conduct a thorough analysis of potential suppliers in advance. “With more than sixty years of experience as a global engineering and manufacturing services provider and around 240 manufacturing specialists, we have a broad network and comprehensive market coverage. The decision to recommend Randek AB and SCM to our customer was based on their many years of experience in this business and their high level of standardization. In addition, the visit to the suppliers impressed us and showed that these companies are positioned in such a way that our customer’s requirements and wishes are met in every respect,” explains Markus Wörnle from Robert Bosch GmbH Engineering and Production Services.
