Greenply orders an MDF/HDF plant
M/s Baahu Panel Pvt Ltd, the wholly owned subsidiary of Greenply Industries Limited (GIL), orders a Siempelkamp plant for the production of MDF and HDF. Greenply Industries Limited is India’s largest interior infrastructure company. Thus, the company focuses on the processing of eucalyptus resources for board production at the Vadodara location in the state of Gujarat in western India.
The company, which set its first milestones from 1984 with a saw-mill, specializes in the production of plywood, flush doors, block boards, and decorative veneers. “To reach the top” is the declared goal of Greenply, headquartered in Kolkata.
Greenply decided in favor of a Siempelkamp ContiRoll® press that will be used for the production of MDF and HDF with a board thickness variance ranging from 1.5 mm to 35 mm.
Eucalyptus, one of the most common plantation tree species in India will be processed for production of MDF/HDF board. Its wood is suitable, among other things, for flooring construction, furniture, and decorative interior finishing. Especially in the Indian market Siempelkamp’s plants for processing the regionally highly available eucalyptus resources enjoy a first-class reputation.
“We would like to thank Greenply for their confidence in our competence to supply excellent plants for the production of wood-based panels and we are looking forward to our further cooperation,” says Samiron Mondal, Managing Director Siempelkamp Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH.
