Greenlam South Limited orders high-end particleboard line
Greenlam South Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Greenlam Industries Limited based in New Delhi, India, has placed an order with Dieffenbacher for the supply of a high-end particleboard line for its new production site in Andhra Pradesh. The planned production capacity is up to 265,000 m³ of particleboard per year.
With more than 5,000 employees, a network of over 14,000 sales partners and a production capacity of 15.62 million HPL boards per year, Greenlam is one of the three largest HPL manufacturers in the world. “With our new Dieffenbacher particleboard line, we are launching our third production line and are on track to become one of the leading wood panel manufacturers in India,” said Saurabh Mittal, Managing Director & CEO at Greenlam Industries. Greenlam has 15 offices worldwide and four international sales offices from where it exports its products to more than 100 countries.
In addition to the CPS+ continuous press with press exhaust air purification system, the large scope of supply ranges from the forming station to the pre-press and finishing line to the drum dryer. Added to this are engineering, electrical systems and plant automation, as well as the proven and highly flexible Lukki raw board storage system.
A key component of the particleboard plant will be the new “Evoris” digital platform. “It will help us operate our plant better and easier,” reports UN Sarma, President – Manufacturing Chip Board & Engineering Services. “When Dieffenbacher introduced us to the ‘Evoris’ platform, we were immediately excited. I firmly believe that this is the future of wood-based panel production.”
