Global, hybrid live event at three locations

In order to meet the currently high demands for events, the machine manufacturer Cefla from Imola, Italy, is breaking new ground: with “Cefla Live goes Global”, the manufacturer wants to bring its latest innovations to all corners of the world in the form of a hybrid event from 7 to 11 June. A combination of three venues in Italy, China and the USA is planned; at the latter two, visits with appropriate hygiene measures are also to be possible. The whole thing will be complemented by an extensive range of webinars, especially from the “LAB”, the large showroom and innovation centre in Imola.

Cefla is thus sticking to its annual in-house exhibition and, despite the pandemic, is able to “open” its annual showcase for the latest innovations in the field of surface finishing technologies – and yet does many things differently. The focus of this year’s edition will be on sustainability and efficiency, which the Italians consider the main goals of any innovation.

The live online webinars on all five days are to be adapted to the different international time zones and languages. Wherever participants are located, they can register for any number of webinars and take advantage of direct contact with the technology experts and their local sales representatives. They will also have access to content for each of the technologies presented.

A few little “goodies” up front: Still the only spraying robot with 2 fully independent arms on the market today, the new “iBotic” spray coating machine introduces innovative features and devices to increase production efficiency and minimise downtime. Less lacquer, less impact on the environment and less time on the line are the key benefits of “Smartvacuum”, designed to achieve uniform coating quality between the flat surface and the edge of the panel. Similar benefits from the new “Elispray”, the 12 or 24-gun elliptical spray coating solution for high volumes. Sustainability is also the driver behind the new inert curing oven developed with an eye to reducing the need to use photoinitiators. “UV-I” works in an inert atmosphere cutting most of the costs linked to these expensive and harmful lacquer additives.

Cefla affirms, “Whatever it takes, we never stop innovating. That is part of our DNA. The global pandemic situation has not stopped us from exploring completely new ways to improve the aspects that matter most to our partners: Efficiency, sustainability and competitiveness. Our solutions are always tailored to the needs of all sizes of companies and also to different market conditions. For this reason, the ‘Cefla Live goes Global’ 2021 edition is global in scope, to address each region locally.”
