Giancarlo Santoro is the new managing director

The new year marks the beginning of a new chapter for Italian woodworking machinery manufacturer Masterwood s.p.a of Rimini: the management of the Chinese KDT Group, the owner of Masterwood, has appointed Giancarlo Santoro as Managing Director of Masterwood with immediate effect. The change was announced by Charles F. Liu, CEO of Masterwood, to the staff via video conference. At the same time, he thanked all employees for their outstanding performance and results achieved in 2021.

Santoro assumed the position of director of sales and marketing at Masterwood in June 2021 and is now expected to devote his time to setting the course for the company’s upcoming success. As before, Masterwood is undergoing a restructuring process following its acquisition by KDT in 2018, which includes Masterwood gaining better access to Asian markets in particular thanks to KDT. KDT is now relying on the knowledge of Santoro, who has already gained expertise in his career at many well-known mechanical engineering companies such as Giben and Cefla, for example.
