The German Furniture Quality Association (DGM) has now translated its website into English to make international manufacturers, dealers and end consumers even more aware of the topic of furniture quality. “Our RAL quality mark ‘Golden M’ is known and respected far beyond the borders of Germany. It is the most important proof of quality for furniture throughout Europe,” says DGM Managing Director Jochen Winning.

In addition to the ‘Golden M’, the DGM awards other quality marks for furniture, such as the emission label, the box spring label and the climate label. The homepage now also provides information about these labels in English. Visitors to the website can also see which certifications the more than 130 German and European member companies of the DGM have been awarded. Around 100 members are furniture manufacturers, plus supporting members such as suppliers and test institutes. Since 1963, all furniture manufacturers have had to comply with the strict quality and testing regulations RAL-GZ 430 in order to become DGM members and be awarded the “Golden M”. “The DGM is a strong community with a clear goal: furniture quality! Our English-language website will enable us to promote and raise awareness of this goal even more effectively on an international level,” concludes Winning.
