Egyptian company awards follow-up contract

Back in September last year, Nile Wood, a subsidiary of Egypt Kuwait Holding (EKH) with which the investment company will enter the wood-based materials production business, ordered a complete MDF line from Dieffenbacher for its new site in Sadat City, Egypt. Now Nile Wood will add a chip cleaning line to the order.

“The overall plant competence coupled with the know-how and experience in chip cleaning convinced us to entrust Dieffenbacher with our new project as well,” explains EKH CEO Sherif El Zayat. “We are pleased to support Nile Wood in the production of high quality MDF by ensuring that plastics, glass, stones, metals and all other possible impurities are removed from their raw material,” adds Jochen Kamm, Head of Business Unit Recycling at Dieffenbacher

After many wood recycling plants for particleboard production, which the Wood and Recycling Business Units have successfully implemented together, Dieffenbacher is now supplying a wood cleaning plant for MDF production for the first time with the order from Nile Wood. In addition, the Recycling Business Unit has also already developed plant concepts together with the plant specialist Business Unit Composites. Only recently, a US customer ordered a plant for the efficient and economical production of thermoplastic components from 100 percent recycled material.

Commissioning of the Nile Wood MDF complete plant, including chip cleaning, is scheduled for the first quarter of 2022. Assembly is scheduled to begin in June 2021. Under full load, the MDF plant will reach an annual production capacity of 200,000 m³.
