Christoph Hauck took over as managing director in January
For the first time in the company’s 75-year history, Bäumer is managed solely by a non-family member: On January 1, 2021, Christoph Hauck took over sole management of Albrecht Bäumer GmbH & Co. KG. Nina Patisson, great-granddaughter of the company founder and acting CEO, withdrew from the operational business on February 1, 2021, but will continue to accompany the company in her role as shareholder. “We are confident that Christoph Hauck brings both the right education, experience and personality to this position,” Patisson said.
Hauck, 57, studied electrical engineering, specializing in automation technology, and has worked primarily in engineering and sales for companies in Germany and abroad. For the last 19 years, he managed a company in the electrotechnical engineering sector as managing director. With stability and sustainability, he wants to keep the “big ship” Bäumer on course, relying in particular on almost 400 motivated employees. The new CEO wants a “noiseless transition.” “I achieve this by acting as if it were my own company, with prudence and a well-founded weighing of opportunities and risks in every decision,” says Hauck. Christoph Hauck values both the togetherness of a family business and working with many different nations and cultures. Being a first-class supplier for customers, creating satisfaction for shareholders and sustainability for the workforce are his highest goals.
