Celebrating its 20th anniversary

For Italian machine builder Dalso, based in Schio, the year 2021 is a very special one: 20 years ago, the company specialized in the design and construction of industrial automation systems for woodworking, overcoming numerous challenges and repeatedly pushing forward with innovative automation projects. Apart from this milestone, Dalso also sees the current year as an important starting point for new developments.

The company, based in Schio in the province of Vicenza, was born from the experience of its founder Lucio Dal Soglio and from the culture of the spirit of sacrifice: a vision that assumes that every effort is necessary to ensure a better result and continuous improvement of the company and its products.

Company founder Lucio Dal Soglio explains: “Dalso was born with the vision that every effort contributes to moving the company forward, offering better products and achieving an excellent result”. Twenty years of activity as a machine producer in the woodworking sector is only the first milestone we have reached. I have accumulated more than thirty years of experience in the automation industry from the beginning of my career until I became the owner and commercial director of a company. It has often been a combination of dedication and sacrifice to turn a ‘startup’ into a solid company, with consistent growth in sales, employees, rooms, business units, customers and markets.

However, the key factor in recent years has been the high level of customer satisfaction. It led to us being able to move to our current location in 2016, which offers plenty of space at around 4,000 square meters. The number of employees has increased once again and we have become more industrially oriented. In addition, this year we renewed our ISO 9001 certification, which officially underlines the quality of our work and end products – which is ultimately an achievement of our employees. And we see the past 20 years as a new starting point, fueling enthusiasm throughout the company to deliver future projects with the same commitment and passion.”

A reflection of this are the two latest automation lines currently being projected: A saw infeed for the production of wood profiles. The whole thing is designed for panel packs and up to five loading stations, with the line operating completely autonomously. The second line automates process steps of a parquet production.

Dalso is celebrating its 20th anniversary in the knowledge that it will not be thwarted by any adversity – not even by a pandemic, as has happened in the last 1.5 years. Both in the development of customer concepts and ultimately in the organizational and practical implementation of these, new paths are always taken to create the best possible solutions.
