DOMOTEX Middle East  |

Dubai as an international meeting place for trade, design and innovation

DOMOTEX Middle East 2025 came to a successful close after three intensive days at the Dubai World Trade Center. The event once again confirmed its role as an international platform for innovation, design and cross-industry collaboration in the global carpet and flooring industry.

With around 100 exhibitors from key markets in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, the show presented a diverse range of carpet and flooring solutions. From antique, handmade carpets and bespoke designs to sustainable materials and modern technologies, the exhibition reflected both the changing needs of the industry and the high demand in the region for high-quality, design-oriented and environmentally friendly products.

The strong presence of wholesalers, retailers, interior designers and project developers also underlined the relevance of DOMOTEX Middle East as a central sourcing platform for innovative solutions – especially in the context of the ambitious construction projects in the Gulf region.

Sonia Wedell-Castellano, Global Director DOMOTEX at Deutsche Messe AG, said: “The success of DOMOTEX Middle East 2025 demonstrates not only the dynamism of the global flooring market, but also Dubai’s central role as a hub for international business and design. The platform offered space for valuable contacts, new impulses and at the same time recognized the design and innovative strength that shape our industry in the long term. We look forward to taking this momentum with us to Hanover – where the international flooring community will gather again in 2026 to help shape the future of the industry.”

Hand-knotted carpets were the center of attention. Large-format silk carpets in particular impressively demonstrated the skills of experienced weavers – sometimes in combination with technical innovations that take the craft to a new level. At the same time, the topic of sustainability came increasingly into focus. Numerous exhibitors presented environmentally friendly product solutions that are geared towards the circular economy and meet the growing demands for responsible materials in interior design.

Kim Koning, Marketing Manager of Condor Group, summarized: “As a first-time exhibitor at DOMOTEX Middle East, we are very satisfied with the great interest in our collections and the quality of the discussions we had. The trade fair was a valuable springboard for the Condor Group to present our flooring solutions developed in Europe to the GCC market. We were particularly pleased with the diversity of visitors from all over the world – clear evidence of the international appeal of the event.”

Laurent Messara, Managing Director of Messara Trading, added: “DOMOTEX Middle East 2025 was a great experience for us. Thanks to the large number of visitors from across the GCC and other international markets, we were able to showcase our latest designs and sustainable flooring solutions to a wide and engaged audience. The contacts and insights gained are of great value for our further development.”

Following the success in Dubai, the focus is now turning to the next edition of DOMOTEX in Hanover: from January 19 to 22, 2026, the global flooring and interior design industry will once again come together to network, exchange ideas and drive innovation.
