Team 7

Stefan Emprechtinger has joined the management board

At the beginning of June 2023, Stefan Emprechtinger joined the management of Team 7. Owner and Managing Director Dr. Georg Emprechtinger is pleased about this step and emphasizes that in a family-run company like Team 7, it is people who are behind the decisions and not anonymous corporate structures. With his son Stefan, the next generation is now ready to take over management responsibility.

The pioneer of ecological design furniture is doing well. Thanks to its high architectural standards and consistent sustainability philosophy, the Austrian company has created an internationally coveted brand and operates sales outlets in 38 countries, including 19 monobrand stores. With sales of over 100 million euros and 10 percent growth, Team 7 is one of the leading premium solid wood furniture manufacturers in Europe. For example, the company is investing around 75 million euros from 2017 to 2024 in an energy-efficient low-tech building, Team 7 World, and the expansion of the “green factory”. “Two thirds of our employees are carpenters. With the largest investment program in the company’s history, we are committing ourselves as a whole family to the region and its unique craft tradition,” explains owner and managing director Dr. Georg Emprechtinger.

Stefan Emprechtinger has specifically prepared himself for the upcoming tasks at Team 7. The 32-year-old has spent the past six months working as an interior planner at Team 7 stores in Vienna, Hamburg and Frankfurt. Prior to that, he worked for a renowned strategy consultancy in Berlin and Vienna for four years and then spent two years with a German investment company, where he was most recently responsible for the successful turnaround of an interior design company as managing director. He completed business studies in Vienna, Barcelona and Cambridge. Daughter Elisabeth Emprechtinger has also been working at the company since September. She started as an interior planner at Team 7 Vienna and now works at the head office as a project manager in the online marketing department. Through her studies in business informatics and the master school for graphic design, she is ideally trained for her task.
